Hoe het voelt
Een paar stille notities over het verblijf.
Makani Luxury Wanderlust is set on Tierra Bomba Island, on a privileged stretch of shore a short distance from Cartagena by boat. Its appeal is the contrast: open water, beach time and an island pace during the day, with the old city still close enough to remain part of the trip.\n\nChoose it when you want a coastal reset alongside Cartagena rather than a purely urban stay. It works particularly well for couples and friends who want to divide their time between the city’s culture and a more relaxed island base.

Aankomst
Aankomen is eenvoudig
Medellín arrives from above: the airport is on higher ground and the transfer descends toward the valley. Keep the first evening flexible after the road in.
- Airport transfer from Rionegro into the valley
Praktisch
Het dagelijks leven is hier makkelijk
Beste reistijd
Wanneer het hier op zijn best voelt
- Mild highland climate
- Rain can arrive quickly
- Cooler evenings than the coast
Goed om te weten
Zo ga je goed voorbereid op pad
- Choose the neighbourhood for the rhythm you want; Medellín is not one walkable centre.
- Road travel across the valley changes with traffic, especially around commuting hours.
- The highland setting keeps the city milder than Colombia's coastal destinations.
- Give longer day trips their own day rather than squeezing them around city plans.
