Guanacaste changes the temperature and the light of the journey. The northwest is shaped by a drier Pacific climate, broad beaches and a landscape that asks a traveler to notice the difference between a resort coastline and a place with its own seasonal rhythm.

The current Roibos portfolio is concentrated here, especially around Tamarindo, Cabo Velas, Sardinal and La Cruz. That makes Guanacaste commercially important for the first audit, but the supply concentration is not a reason to publish a hotel grid: each candidate still needs a clear relationship to its coast, its setting and the kind of journey it supports.
